Selected individual will be responsible for a major R&D project of a technically complicated nature that will result in a significant financial and strategic impact. Duties include providing technical expertise in recombinant protein expression, mammalian cell culture, protein purification, plasma fractionation and/or process risk assessment. Will identify, evaluate and introduce novel process technologies to improve process efficiency, as well as product yield and quality; provide technical input to cross-functional project teams; generate sufficient/accurate technical data and documentation to ensure technology transfer; and contribute to strategic planning at departmental and group levels.

Position requires a BS, MS or PhD in Chemical, Biomedical, or Biochemical Engineering and 8-12 years'' experience in process development, production and/or engineering within a biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry. Professional registration and/or certifications are required. This individual must have outstanding oral/written communication skills with the ability to identify "leading edge" technology at a time early enough to allow the company to obtain a propriety positioning and synthesize technical and business projects and programs.
